Alex Ramirez Establishes JAPAN BREEZE

Alex Ramirez has established JAPAN BREEZE LLC, with Ramirez serving as its CEO. The company has secured an invitation for Japan’s first-ever participation in the prestigious Caribbean Series, an international baseball tournament in Latin America. This marks the first time an Asian team has been invited to the historic event.

In addition to his role as CEO, Ramirez will also manage the team Japan Breeze. At the press conference, Ramirez was joined by the company’s General Manager, Fuyuma Irokawa, and Erbin Miyasaka, alongside representatives from the Caribbean Series, including Juan Francisco Puello Herrera and Carlos Manrique of the Mexican Pacific League. They shared their enthusiasm for the upcoming tournament, which will take place in Mexico in February 2025.

About the Caribbean Series

The Caribbean Series boasts a 75-year history and is currently organized by four major countries: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico. The tournament’s popularity has grown significantly, with the 2024 event in Miami, USA, drawing a record-breaking 340,000 attendees and a single-game high of 32,000 spectators.

Historic Collaboration

During the press conference, Ramirez expressed his pride in representing Japan:

“It is a tremendous honor to represent Japan in the Caribbean Series. I want to give back to the baseball fans who have supported me and allow young players to experience international baseball. Through Japan Breeze, I hope to bring the excitement of global baseball to Japanese fans.”

Herrera, visiting Japan for the third time, also shared his excitement:

“I am thrilled that Japan’s participation has finally become a reality. I’m grateful for the support from Ramirez and Irokawa. This marks the first step toward globalizing the Caribbean Series.”

Carlos Manrique, attending Japan for the first time as a representative of the Mexican Pacific League, commented:

“Japan is a beautiful country, and its people are wonderful. We are honored to welcome a Japanese team. I hope Japanese fans will come to Mexicali for the tournament.”

Future Plans

JAPAN BREEZE is currently scouting players and assembling its team, with plans to announce the roster by August. Negotiations are also underway to broadcast the Caribbean Series in Japan, allowing fans to follow the games.

Aiming for Victory

Looking ahead, Ramirez stated:

“Our goal is to build a team capable of winning the championship in the future.”

The 67th Caribbean Series, marking Japan’s historic debut, will be held in Mexicali, Mexico, in February 2025. The 2026 tournament has been scheduled for Caracas, Venezuela.
