Winner of the 53rd Suntory Music Award : The Wonderful World of Baroque Music Brought to You by the Genius Yoshimichi Hamada

Yoshimichi Hamada, a baroque opera conductor and known as a recorder and cornet (Zinck) virtuoso, will take on the challenge of “Flute Paradise – Der Fluyten Lust-hof”.

“Flute Paradise – Der Fluyten Lust-hof” is a collection of songs for wind instruments published in the Netherlands in the 17th century, and is a huge collection of approximately 150 songs that include variations on popular songs of the time.

In this concert, selected pieces from among them will be performed on the first night with Hamada’s recorder, singing, and organ, and on the second night with a recorder quartet, lute, and percussion.
