The Prince Takamado Memorial Price 2020
The annual ‘Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Photo Exhibition 2020 saw some worthy winners. Under the patronage of Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, the selected photographers were honored in front of distinguished guests and the media. This year’s theme influenced by the global impact of the novel Coronavirus was “at Home in Japan.”

The Prince Takamado Memorial Price went to Većeslav Tumir, Councellor at the Vatican Embassy for his photos “Keep the distance and carry on.”
The Grand Prize went to Nicolo Tassoni Estence, Minister Counsellor at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo for his photo “Past Memories…”
Chairperson, Ambassador Tatiana Iosiper, won the Ambassador Prize for her photo: Kimono fabric hung outside to dry over Myoshoji Riverat Some no Komichi Festival.
Her message: “As Chairperson of the Executive Committee of JAPAN THROUGH DIPLOMATS’ EYES it brings me great joy that we were able to organize this year’s edition. Even though some promotional events had to be restricted or canceled due to the pandemic, 56 diplomats from 40 countries and regions have submitted entries, helping us to continue this program, which has been held uninterruptedly for twenty three years under the patronage of her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado.
